Roaring Fork Conservancy is an independent not-for-profit that brings people together to protect our rivers. Founded in 1996 and based in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado, Roaring Fork Conservancy has grown to become one of the most respected watershed groups in Colorado. They focus on three issues: water quantity – keeping water in our rivers; water quality -- keeping our rivers healthy; and habitat preservation -- keeping our riparian habitat intact. Programs in education, research, planning, conservation and stewardship engage thousands of students, citizens and volunteers each year. The organization is currently designing the River Center, an innovative education and science center that will unveil some of the hidden complexities of water in Colorado.
