If you’re gearing up for an enjoyable marathon experience your key workout should be your long run each week. Build up by adding 2 miles every week and every 3rd week do a shorter run. Your last long should be 20-21 miles 4 weeks out from the race. Key Workout Example: Wk 1-3: 10,12,10. Wk 4-6: 12,14,12, Wk 7-9: 14,16,12 Wk 10-12: 16,18,10 Wk 13-16: 20,15,10,7 RACE!
