Joe Campisi Appointed Vice President Of Marketing At Malden Mills
January 27, 2001, Lawrence, MA—Joseph Campisi has been appointed Vice President of Global Marketing at Malden Mills Industries, Inc., it was announced today by Gerald G. Bowe, Chief Operating Officer of the company known throughout the world for its Polarteci brand of fleece fabrics which virtually created a whole new outdoor apparel market. In this position, Campisi will be responsible for the leadership and direction of leveraging the Polartec brand to a worldwide marketplace. He will report directly to Cesar Aguilar, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Polartec Worldwide.
“As we move forward, Malden Mills is focused on expanding our customers abilities to penetrate their markets and expand their businesses,” Bowe said. “Joe Campisi is an innovator, recognized for building strong sales and marketing teams. He has a proven track record of building customer relationships and will be a driving force in leveraging our Polartec brand to new heights.
Campisi, formerly Director of the Retail Marketing Services division at Malden Mills, is known for forming strategic partnerships with customers. Since joining Malden Mills in 1995, Campisi has worked closely to develop key account strategies for customers.
“The Marketing Team is the caretaker of the Polartec brand and all of its constituents,” Aguilar said. “Our goal as a marketing team is to strengthen awareness of Polartec as a highly innovative partner to our customers while communicating our authenticity, originality and value to the consumer. Above and beyond that, we look to create innovative product solutions for people beyond the outdoor world.”
With 25 years experience in the outdoor industry, Campisi has guided brand management for such leading companies as Salomon, Raichle/Head and Tyrolia, and was Director of Field Services in the Sales and Marketing Division at The Timberland Company.
Campisi received a B.A. in English Literature from Adelphi University in New York. He currently resides in Stratham, N.H. with his wife Pat and their three dogs.
