Steve Metcalf

Hailing from the Ottawa River region of Ontario, Steve spent most of his youth exploring Canada by canoe, raft and snowboard. A chance meeting while hitch-hiking outside of Fernie, BC, led to an internship with Surfer Publications and - eventually - editorial stints with Powder and Snowboarder magazines. Since then, Steve has made a habit out of working for leaders in the Resort and Action Sports space – working as the Brand Director for Aspen/Snowmass and as Global Marketing Manager for K2 Snowboarding. His 10–plus years of experience are a welcome addition to Backbone’s expanding client strategy efforts.
