Diamondback Announces New Direct to Consumer Pricing on Premium Models

The brand is also expanding its free mobile delivery service and ReadyRide programs

KENT, Wash. (July 13, 2017) — Diamondback Bicycles, which launched a comprehensive consumer direct program last year, is pleased to introduce a new, reduced pricing structure for its premium road models.

“The time and energy our team has put into ReadyRide, our consumer direct program, is really paying off,” said Steve Westover, VP of marketing at Diamondback. “We’ve realized significant efficiencies in our systems and processes, and we’re excited to pass those savings on to our customers.”

The new pricing means that bikes like the carbon fiber Diamondback Podium, equipped with Shimano Di2 electric shifting, hydraulic disc brakes and a full Shimano Ultegra groupset, can be had for as little as $3,499. Diamondback’s competition triathlon and time trial bike, the Serios, featuring SRAM Force goes for $3,459. The Podium and the Serios are the same frames that pro riders from Team Rally rode to several podiums at the recent USA Cycling Pro Road & Time Trial National Championships.

In addition to the Podium and the Serios, prices for Diamondback’s cutting edge, aero superbike, the Andean, now start at $3,999. Both the Andean and the Serios can also be fully customized via the brand’s new Custom Studio online tool, which allows riders to choose everything from frame color to wheel model.

After ordering a Diamondback bicycle online, the ReadyRide program delivers it to consumers’ doors 95 percent assembled. Included tools and a comprehensive online support system with chat and helpful how-to videos, means that anyone can build their new bike in just a matter of minutes. Consumers can also choose to have their bike assembled at their local bike shop at no extra cost, or built and delivered by mobile bike service, Beeline Bikes, where available.

“We have come a long way in the past five years by developing quality bikes across road, mountain and triathlon categories,” said Steve Westover, VP of marketing at Diamondback. “We’ve invested in product design, innovative packaging and shipping processes, and done our best to offer the best value possible. If we can get more people riding bikes, we know we’ve done a good job.”
