2018 Hobie® Bass Open Announced
OCEANSIDE, California (April 9, 2018) – Hobie, the leading manufacturer of premium fishing kayaks and watersport products, today announces the2018 Hobie Bass Open in Kentucky Lake Dam Village. Kayak anglers from across the country will test their skills on the legendary fishery of Kentucky Lake on June 1-3, for a chance to win cash and prizes and one of two spots to represent Team USA in the next Hobie Fishing Worlds.
“This tournament brings out the best-of-the-best in the bass fishing world,” says Keeton Eoff, Director of Global Strategy and Development at Hobie. “We’re looking forward to even bigger attendance than last year, and a fun weekend of great fishing action.”
The 2-day tournament is a catch, photograph, and release format where anglers will record their three largest bass each day. The angler with the largest total inch-count will be declared the winner. Raffles and prizes will be awarded in addition to top-prize winners. Online early-entry fee for adults is $125 and is open until May 1 at midnight. After May 1, entry fees increase to $150.00 and can be paid online or onsite until June 1 at 7pm CT. Junior angler entry fee is $30.

In addition to the fishing tournament, families are invited to a free on-water demo of Hobie Kayaks and recreational products held on Saturday, June 2 from 10am-2pm at the Kentucky Dam Village Beach.
