JULY 14, 2022 (Poulsbo, WA) — Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading fishing apparel and footwear, today announces its new Spring 2023 lineup. The brand’s pinnacle GORE-TEX collection expands, sportswear offering is significantly increased, and footwear grows in key new styles. This is all in addition to a brand new wading collection that includes waders and wading boots also set to launch in Spring 2023, enabling Grundens to deliver on its We Are Fishing brand positioning.
“Designing the most durable, longest lasting, and most dependable gear is at the heart of what we stand for. Our Commercial, Sportswear and Footwear collections expand significantly and provide greater versatility for various conditions than ever before. In 2023, we will continue to build on our foundation as the most trusted brand in fishing.”
Grundéns continues to innovate its industry leading GORE-TEX collection with the new Buoy X Anorak. Built for durability and protection in the harshest fishing conditions with a breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX shell and designed for maximum protection from the elements. Neoprene cuffs keep water from penetrating into sleeves, and when the sun comes out, the gusseted collar features a snap connection to allow enhanced ventilation and comfort. The newly designed Downrigger 2.0 Jacket will be the go-to for sportfisherman looking for unrivaled protection from the harshest conditions. A 2-layer waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX exterior membrane is coupled with a nylon taffeta moisture wicking liner providing next-to-skin comfort.
Grundéns understands anglers need protection from the sun, while also staying cool and dry. The all-new flagship Shorebreak recycled poly/cotton DriRelease solar collection offers the breathable, natural feel of cotton with the high performance of synthetics. An engineered Drirelease sustainable fabric blend with UPF 30 protection wicks moisture and dries 4X faster than cotton, plus permanent odor protection. The Men’s and Women’s Shorebreak Hoodie offers extra protection with a ripstop upper for light abrasion resistance, snap adjust scuba-style hood and front. With the entire Shorebreak collection being DriRelease, the Men’s Shorebreak Long Sleeve and Short Sleeve Crew shirts offer anglers cotton-like comfort with wicking, quick-drying UPF 30 protection. The Men’s Shorebreak Polo is a touch heavier weight with a noticeably elevated fit and feel. 2023 also sees and expansion of the UPF 50 Solstrale line – offering a new engineered knit Solstrale Pro Crew, Solstrale Short Sleeve Crew for him, and new Solstrale Long Sleeve Crew for her.
Grundéns footwear collection continues to add key models to its expanding line. The Deviation Boot has become a perennial favorite for anglers and is now offered in a 15” tall version, with a lugged and razor siped outsole that provides bite on loose terrain and maximum traction on wet surfaces. Offering increased versatility, the Freeboard Canvas Lace and the SeaKnit Wool Boat shoe provide on-deck performance and style that won’t look out of place on the boat or in the local bar.
With best-in-class comfort, water-friendly materials and seamless comfort, the SeaKnit Boat Show franchise expands, with a women’s-specific model available in three new colors, anatomically engineered to fit the female foot. The brand also deepens its range of sandals, with the new Fishfinder, Eddyline Slide, and the W’s-specific Deck-Mate series, which offer SeaDek footbeds and siped gum rubber outsole for excellent wet traction. Grundens is also proud to launch a USA-made collection of durable, premium socks to complement its growing footwear range.
The commercial collection will feature the newly designed 3-in-1 Full Share jacket that includes a removable fleece liner, giving you one jacket for numerous conditions. On the women’s side, the new Pisces Jacket and Bib were designed by female product designers to create a purpose-built jacket with an emphasis on mobility, breathability, and women’s specific fit. The Pisces Bib features a unique drop seat relief system, creating the most innovative women’s fishing bib on the market. Rounding out the new women’s commercial products, the Aquarius jacket will provide female anglers a lightweight and packable raincoat option.
Grundéns will also be launching a wading collection, complete with men’s and women’s waders and wading boots. You can learn more about this all-new wader collection HERE.
It began nearly 100 years ago on the west coast of Sweden, in the small fishing village of Grundsund when Carl A. Grundén began producing waterproof oil skins to protect North Sea fishermen from the hostile weather that often accompanied their jobs. Today, some things have changed but Grundéns commitment to supplying and supporting commercial fishermen, sport fishing enthusiasts and bass anglers remains. The brand offers the most versatile lineup of fishing outerwear, sun protection, footwear, and accessories available.
