Tough Mudder Philly Gets Tougher Than Ever
12-hour Toughest Mudder joins Classic, 5K, Mini Mudder and Ruff Mudder in Brandywine Valley
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – May 9, 2019 –Tough Mudder, the global fitness and active lifestyle brand, is returning to Pennsylvania for the 10th year with its 2019 Tough Mudder Philly. New this year, the Philadelphia event will feature the Ruff Mudder competition for dogs and the Toughest Mudder, a 12-hour course that truly tests participants’ stamina and mental grit.

Tough Mudder Philly will take place on May 18-19 at Plantation Field in Coatesville, roughly an hour outside of Center City in the beautiful Brandywine Valley. The Toughest Mudder event will run overnight, beginning on Saturday at 8 p.m., challenging participants to power through as many five-mile laps as they can in a 12-hour period. Guaranteed to push racers past anything they’ve ever experienced before, Toughest Mudder is introducing new two-person, four-person or open team relay formats, so contestants can now share the glory and show how teamwork can truly make the dream work. Those who hit the dedicated minimum miles for each category (male, female and team relay) can qualify for Contender status at World’s Toughest Mudder in Atlanta, Georgia in November.
The Toughest Mudder joins the Tough Mudder Classic, an 8-10-mile loop of mud-soaked mayhem with 25 best-in-class obstacles, the Tough Mudder 5K, a new staple of 2019 events which crams 13 unique obstacles into a shorter distance, the Mini Mudder, a mile-long obstacle course specifically designed for adventure-seeking children, and the new Ruff Mudder, an event for the toughest of pups. Coupled with a revamped Mudder Village Festival featuring local food, cold beer, live entertainment, lawn games, giveaways and more, the events provide a day of fun for the whole family.
