TINCUP® Mountain Whiskey and American Alpine Club Team Up to Fund Adventure-Craving Duos
“Partner In Adventure Grants” now open, empowering safe and inclusive access to outdoor recreation and helping the guiding community in a challenging year
DENVER (Sept. 22, 2020) – TINCUP® Mountain Whiskey and the American Alpine Club (AAC) are pleased to announce a new program with the launch of the Partner In Adventure Grant. The grant, which is open to duos 21+ of all experience levels, seeks to fund outdoor educational experiences and support the local guides and organizations that provide these resources. The grant is an extension of TINCUP’s Partner In Adventure campaign, which celebrates the powerful bonds that are forged when people come together in pursuit of true adventure. Together with the AAC, TINCUP looks to inspire new outdoor experiences and empower more people to enjoy them – safely.
The Partner In Adventure Grant will award duos up to $1,000 to support outdoor educational experiences, fostering safe recreation as individuals begin or advance their outdoor experience. While experienced climbers and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to apply, the grant also aims to empower newcomers hoping to increase their skill set.
The grant program is part of a broader partnership between TINCUP and the AAC, with TINCUP serving as the club’s Official Whiskey Sponsor. TINCUP will also support the AAC’s upcoming Craggin’ Classic event and the organization’s efforts to address critical issues facing climbers and the outdoor community. The Craggin’ Classic, a weeklong climbing festival, will be held virtually Oct. 19-25, 2020. The digital event will offer educational programming, in-depth panel discussions, slideshows, and more – including an early screening of TINCUP ambassadors Renan Ozturk and Taylor Rees’s new film, “The Ghosts Above.”
The Partner In Adventure Grant application period runs from Sept. 22 to Oct. 29, 2020. A team of AAC representatives will review applications and will notify recipients during the week of Nov. 16, 2020. For a list of full rules and regulations, and to apply visit www.partnerinadventure.com.

About TINCUP® Mountain Whiskey
TINCUP® is a classic American whiskey with a bourbon-style profile. Created by Jess Graber, who began distilling almost 40 years ago, TINCUP® is made using a blend of mid-western rye, corn and malted barley. The whiskey is aged in American white oak barrels and cut with pure Rocky Mountain spring water. TINCUP® Mountain Whiskey takes its name from Tin Cup, CO, an old mining town set on the western slope of Colorado. It is named for the tin cups the resident mine workers drank their whiskey from following a day down in the depths of the Rocky Mountains. TINCUP® celebrates these mining pioneers and the rugged spirit of the American West. TINCUP® Whiskey is bottled at 42% ABV, and is available nationally with a suggested retail price of $28 for a 750ml bottle. Find your Mountain at www.tincupwhiskey.com.
