Grundéns Ambassador Joey Cifuentes Wins Second Bassmaster Elite Series Stop on Lake Seminole

February 27, 2023 (Poulsbo, WA) – Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading fishing apparel and footwear, is proud of Joey Cifuentes for winning his first Bassmaster Elite Series stop this weekend on Lake Seminole. Twenty fish with a total weight of 85 pounds 2 ounces during the stop propelled Cifuentes to his first blue trophy and a prize of $100,000. Fellow Grundéns Ambassador Shane LeHew finished ninth.

Cifuentes took over the lead on day 2 after a monster bag of 26 pounds 1 ounce, the tournament’s heaviest single-day bag, and never looked back. After losing a couple of big fish close to the boat on Sunday, he was able to do enough to hold off fellow Rookie Kyoyo Fujita and seasoned pro Tyler Rivet on the final day. Cifuentes was elated as he held his first blue trophy over his iconic cowboy hat.
